About the role
We are looking for a versatile IT Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in server platforms, hypervisors and both Linux and Windows environments. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring that Sferical’s infrastructure is secure, stable and optimized as we build and scale one of Europe’s most advanced AI platforms. This role suits someone who enjoys taking responsibility for complex environments, improving systems through automation and working closely with a strong technical team.
What you’ll do
- Manage operations for server platforms and hypervisor environments, both physical and virtual
- Administer and maintain Active Directory (AD), DNS, NTP, DHCP and Certificate
Authority (CA) infrastructure - Operate and maintain Privileged Access Management systems
- Oversee patching, upgrades and implement automation routines across the environment
- Contribute to the design and development of new infrastructure solutions

Qualifications
- Proven expertise in on-premises infrastructure operations
- Strong ability to design and develop new infrastructure solutions
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory and certificate management
- Solid understanding of networking
- Strong experience operating and developing Privileged Access Management solutions
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Skilled in storage technologies, replication, snapshots and backup solutions
- High competence in monitoring and observability tools
- Preferred: Experience with automation frameworks (DevOps/GitOps/CI pipelines),configuration management and advanced monitoring
- Stand out: Experience in AI-infrastructure / GPU-solutions
